Hyundai gets new engines
The smallest of the new blocks called Kappa 1.0 T-GDi. The three-cylinder is good for 106 hp and 137 Nm. The engine has two overhead camshafts and is extra light by the use of aluminum for the cylinder block and plastic intake manifold and the engine cover.
There are also larger turbo engines: firstly the Kappa 1.2 T-GDi, which was already introduced at the unveiling of the i20 facelifted.
There is also the Gamma 1.6 T-GDi. That last is now in the Veloster Turbo. Because of the close links that group with fellow Hyundai, we can these new engines in the future course in the products of Kia expect.
